DENMARK, Wis. (WTAQ) - Hunters packed Denmark High School Wednesday to sound off on why they're seeing fewer deer in the woods. Many cited recent programs, such as Earn-a-Buck as a main cause for the decline.

It's part of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources statewide tour to discuss the deer management issue with hunters. But is the DNR actually listening? Several attendees told WTAQ that they felt their suggestions were falling on deaf ears. But the DNR denies that is the case.

If you would like to voice your opinion on the deer herd to the DNR, additional meetings are coming up in our area, at the following locations: Clintonville High School, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.; Crivitz Village Hall, March 15 at 6:00 p.m.; J.P Coughlin Building in Oshkosh, March 16 at 6:00 p.m.; Wautoma High School Performing Arts Center, March 16 at 5:30 p.m.
