Rey Moore In Court '09

Rey Moore appears in court in 2009.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - One of the men convicted of killing Green Bay paper mill worker Tom Monfils has been denied parole. A spokesman for the Department of Corrections says Rey Moore was denied parole Wednesday. Moore got a "deferment" from the Earned Release Review Commission, which sets his next parole eligibility date for April 1, 2011.

He's the second man convicted in the killing of Monfils to have his parole reviewed. Last week, Michael Hirn got his chance, but the full parole commission must review his case. Moore and Hirn, along with 4 others were convicted in the murder of the then-James River paper mill worker Tom Monfils. 3 of them are not yet eligible for parole, while Michael Piaskowski's conviction was overturned.
